ESAとは何でしょうか。

ESAはEMC Security Advisorisの略で、EMC製品/サービスに関する脆弱性とその対策等、セキュリティに関する情報提供を行うドキュメントです。

具体的には以下のような際に発行されます

• EMC製品がセキュリティの脆弱性により影響を受け、それに対してお客様が適用しなくてはならない改善措置方法が、EMCから提供することが可能である場合
• お客様が悪意のある当事者からの攻撃に対して適切に保護ができるようになるための、セキュリティに関する情報もしくはワークアラウンドが必要である場合
• セキュリティに関するベストプラクティスのために、EMCがお客様に新規、もしくはアップデートされた提案を伝えたい場合

An ESA provides notification when:

• An EMC product is impacted by a security vulnerability and a remedy that must be applied by　customers is available from EMC.
• Security relevant information or a work-around is required for customers to be able to adequately protect themselves from attack by malicious parties.
• EMC wants to inform customers about a new or updated recommendation on security best practices.
