Isilon
Isilon

Admin guide 8.2

The cluster periodically contacts the NTP servers and sets the date and time based on the information that it receives.
Isilon-2# isi_for_array -s "ntpq -p -n"
Isilon-1: No association ID's returned
Isilon-2: remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter
Isilon-2: ==============================================================================
Isilon-2: *XXX.XXX.XX.XX XXX.0.0.1 14 u 246 1024 377 0.060 -0.093 0.032
Isilon-3: remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter
Isilon-3: ==============================================================================
Isilon-3: *XXX.XXX.XX.XX XXX.0.0.1 14 u 715 1024 377 0.065 -0.011 0.037
538543 : Isilon: SMB Shares are inaccessible due to a time drift between Domain Controllers and Cluster Nodes
463674 : OneFS 6.5 and later: Time on the cluster is not synchronized with the Active Directory domain controller
It can take 23 hours for the new NTP settings to propagate to all the nodes in the cluster. The chimer nodes synchronize their times to the AD domain controllers, and the nodes in the cluster synchronize their times to the chimer nodes.
