Isilonバージョンアップ前のリブート推奨について
Isilonのバージョンアップについて、以下のKBを拝読したところ、長時間稼働ノードについては、Isilonのバージョンアップの2週間にリブートをしておくように推奨する記載がありました。

Nodes with a high uptime may negatively impact an upgrade activity. Per the Upgrade Planning and Process Guide linked above, it is recommended that the cluster be rebooted two weeks before any upgrade. Nodes with a high uptime may also be impacted by Link Error ETA 209918, causing multiple additional nodes to reboot during a rolling activity.
こちらの"high uptime"とは、具体的にどのくらいの期間を言っているのでしょうか？
また、なぜ事前にリブートが必要なのでしょうか？
ご存知の方いらっしゃりましたらご教示ください。

には上記コメントにあるように『Firmwareのチェックは3か月ごとに・・』という記載があり、常に最新のFirmwareを使うことが推奨されています。（それに従うのであれば）アップグレードをするたびにリブートすることになるので、High Uptimeとは言われないはずです。
またSR対応履歴では200DayでHigh Uptime といわれている例を見つけたので、妥当な線としてはアップグレードを一度スキップしたくらい、の期間 （1年未満くらい）と考えればいいのではないでしょうか。
また事前にリブートが必要な理由はKBに書かれている参照ドキュメント に以下（＊参照）あるように、アップグレードするIsilonの状態を整えておくため、（リブートのみではなくハードウェアのチェックなども含め）、そして問題があった場合2週間あればアップグレード前に対応ができる、ということになります。

The upgrade process begins with ensuring that your Isilon cluster is ready to be upgraded. Cluster preparation is important to minimize upgrade errors or failure. It is recommended that you set aside two weeks to check the cluster health and resolve issues before performing the upgrade itself. The two-week period allows time for shipping and replacing degraded hardware.

いつもご回答ありがとうございます。
1年未満でhigh Uptimeになるのですね。(ちょうど1年程度を想定していました。)
リブートの必要性についても、内容理解いたしました。
