找到EMC一篇文档：VNX 2 supports Symmetric Active/Active for Classic LUNs(which is not created within a pool), and support Asymmetric Active/Active for pool LUNs. Because Symmetric Active/Active is based on ALUA, it uses the same Failover mode 4.
Failure to select failover mode 2 prevents the SAN Volume Controller from being able to failover I/O. Your data might become unavailable in the event of a single failure.

Hi Jiawen，好久不见！你的logo是咋回事...
回到你的问题，照道理EMC不会有详细的VNX配合IBM SVC的配置文档，不然让VPLEX的人咋办啊。
于是搜了下IBM的网站，这里有篇KB看能不能帮到你：

查找过程中还发现一篇博文，大意是当初VNX刚出来时，IBM L2 support说不支持IBM SVC，但这位仁兄自己给捣鼓出来了：IBM SVC really support VNX and VNX working together with IBM SVC | vmknowledge
我个人见解，VNX只是把IBM SVC作为一台普通主机的话，那只要不是有太大的bug，总归是支持的，比如上面那位仁兄...这也间接证明了VNX、CX系列的兼容性还是不错的啊。

这篇文章之前已经看到。但这里Failover mode; Active-Active (ALUA) failover mode 4 ，对于Symmetric Active/Active不确定是不是4.

对，Symmetric Active/Active沿用和ALUA一样的failover设定，这个好像上次在哪个thread就有提到过。

VNX的话2、4应该都行：

Configuration settings for EMC VNX storage system
The Initiators need to be registered;
System Name > Hosts > Initiators.
Settings;
Initiator type; CLARiiON/VNX
Failover mode; Active-Active (ALUA) failover mode 4
N.B. Legacy failover mode 2 can also be used.
Assign all the Initiators to the same SVC host definition.
不清楚第一篇KB写作年份是多少，理论上FLARE 30版本开始的CX，其和VNX上的failover机制是相同的。
