VMAX Cloud Edition provides the ability for tenants to perform self-service management actions by creating service requests using a web-based portal. The VMAX Cloud Edition Portal supports the ability to define hierarchical structures, known as tenancies, for cloud providers and tenants.
Tenants can view reports and meter data for their partition. From this view, tenants can view their own service requests and manage their allocated resources.
Since it is possible for a tenant to have more than one user, a tenant is represented by a security partition. Multiple users can be associated with a partition, with the level of access for each user represented by a set of roles. Note the following roles and accessibility:
◆ Only cloud provider level users have visibility and control of assets at the array and data center levels, along with the ability to view reports on all service requests, usage metering, trends, and forecasts.
◆ SP administrator can create other users in the system.
◆ Tenant administrators can create other users within that tenancy.
◆ View-only users can access reporting, trending, and service level information.
◆ Provisioning users can view and submit service requests.
