Alienware big news coming

Alienware has mentioned that this Wednesday they will have a big announcement.

Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

What I’m hoping for :

1. A-51 Desktop (probably won’t happen yet, since the 3080ti isn’t released, nor is the new intel processors)

2. UFO handheld release info (most likely scenario since people would buy them up right now with the pandemic going on)

3. New wireless headset

any thoughts?

They are coming out with a new gaming computer series based off of the Orange Julius design (as amended).

I assumed it was the Area 51m R2 laptop coming out per leaked user benchmarks.

Didn't stop it from almost kicking the julius' 3Dmark score. It beat my 9900K + 2080S when I was running stock.

It supposedly has the 10990k desktop chip in the laptop.  Gonna be a HOT new release.

I hope it’s not all that hype for a laptop. Or an r11 lol

I have faith the a new a51 will be great, like previous versions. (Maybe this time with liquid cooled GPU as shown in pictures)

I really would be hopeful for the UFO as well. But I don’t see how you could play an MMO on it. Or any other games for that matter

A51 desktop was confirmed EOL by Dell, so any hedt successor would be called something new.

I'm sure that's at the top of their to-do list, somewhere between releasing a 7th gen BIOs update for R5 owners, and working on the successor to the Aurora R9/10.

Looks like Alienware released the r11. Z490 mobo 10 core, and added 2080 super liquid cooled GPU, as well as 1000w PSU

What gets me. Is that it’s not even 2080ti.

I’ll be holding out for something better than that.

Wait, seriously?  That's the one that actually needs the liquid cooling

A51m R2? Check

Aurora R11? Check

All of you guys hoping for a full sized gaming desktop must be feeling like how Flash is for the iOS ecosystem.

I think the biggest news for the R11 is the addition of a liquid cooling option for the GPU.  Essentially, the GPU cooler is powered via PCiE and connected to the bottom GPU slot, with hoses to the GPU.  No SLI option with liquid cooling though (since the bottom GPU slot is used up by the liquid cooler).
