Aurora R11, cooling

I picked the air cooled r11 with i7 and 2080 super and the temps for my cpu are too hot for comfort reaching 80-90 degrees while gaming and I’ve seen the Corsair h60 is the best option but the issue is I have no pc building/upgrading experience and the most I’ve done is change thermal paste what I want to know is if I could install a h60 by myself with very very little experience

Here's a thread about the VRM heat sinks for the R11: VRM heat sinks

Not recommended.

With air cooling you will be missing the VRM heat sinks, as they are only included when you purchase it with the liquid cooling option.

Those VRM heat sink(s) are notorious to find, and would need to be installed to prevent damage to the VRM section from overheating.

On top of that these systems are very picky when it comes to fan support, and often you get boot errors when using aftermarket fans. Only certain fans work, very picky.

Since you have little experience, I don't think you should attempt this.
