Newer Dells have a wonky Ram order.
Try 1 stick at a time in DIMM1 Slot.
Then put in pairs
White Ears are first bank
Black ears are Second bank
its not in a 1 2 3 4 order
DIMM SLOT NUMBERSNOTE DIMM 1 is in the middle

The RAM can only fit one way. There is a notch in the bottom, but it is not in the center of the stick. See which way you need to position the RAM so the notch lines up with the ridge in the RAM slot. It will need to be fully seated and the white tabs locked. You should not be "holding it in place".

OK, good. Try the suggestions above . . . starting with one stick at a time.

not related to getting the OEM RAM working again, but this is a full compatibility list from the Corsair site for Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200 MHz RAM modules . . . I don't see anything that rhymes with the Ryzen B550-A motherboard

This can sometimes be fixed by clearing CMOS. Unplug everything, remove the coin cell CR2032 battery from the motherboard. Discharge flea power by holding down the power button for 5 seconds, then put it back together with just one stick of OEM RAM to start in XMM1 (slot 1) as labeled on the motherboard. Add more from there.
