Aurora R1, GPU upgrade, SLI?
So I purchased an Aurora R1 that had more ram and it came with a 1060 6GB graphics card. I was wondering if I could upgrade that to a 1080 Ti? Will it fit in there or if it's even possible to do that?
I also see it has a second spot for a graphics card or something. Am I able to have both 1060 6GB and 1080 Ti on there or do they have to be the same video card?

To achieve SLI you need 2 identical graphics cards that are the same brand aswell.
keep the 1060 or sell it.
Upgrade to dual 1660Ti, its better than the 1080Ti.

The 1660ti is comparable to a 1070. It is not better than a 1080ti. The 1660ti is a budget card that does not support sli (no sli bridge) so that's not an option.

You did not say what specific card model (there are many 1080-TI cards), but yeah ... it will probably fit.

If you have the (usually optional back then) 875w Power-Supply you can even properly connect it and power-it-up. If you can get that far, it will then likely work.
EDIT: Now-days, most people just install one nice/big/powerful video-card. Easier to cool and no SLI/CrossFire to mess with.

I’d recommend now upgrading to a single 3080 for maximum performance and if you wanted SLI it’s gonna cost ya for a 3090 sli config.
