Aurora R10, 2060 Super lags, GTA 5

Previously had an XPS 8700 desktop, I added and Nvidia 1060 GPU.  Can't say I ever had a complaint with that setup, but it was getting a bit old, so I purchased the Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10, with a 2060 Super.  I'm taking the Nvidia Experience settings on both systems.

I'd like to see if I'm doing something wrong here, is this just the way it is.  I think this new system should easily out  perform the old system.

So, I'm testing with GTA 5. The alienware system will lag for a second then catch up. I never saw anything like this with the other system.

Single or dual memory sticks?

Thanks, I'm coming back to this.  I have tuned down graphics, but at times, I still get this lag.  RAM is 2x16GB, DDR4, 3200MHz, X MP.

It should out perform the previous system easily. It should not lag unless you play at 4K high settings, or there is something else wrong with your R10 setup.
