Aurora R10 5950X with Samsung PM9A1 PCIe Gen 4 SSD seeing only Gen 3 speeds

I am having an same issue with the 2TB Samsung PM9A1 PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD that came loaded on my Alienware R10 Ryzen Edition Ryzen 9 5950X - CrystalDiskMark and Samsung Magician are both reporting Gen 3 speeds and are reading the card as PCIe Gen 3.0. My understanding was that this motherboard was PCIe 4.0 capable, as is the SSD. Why wouldn't the SSD operate at Gen 4 speeds? I've confirmed that the SSD has been updated to the latest firmware:

Any insight and help would be appreciated.

Only the top (blue) x8 slot (x16 mechanical) supports pcie 4.0 in the R10.

As per Ryzen R10 manual page 17, the M2 drive slot supports up to 32 Gbps.

This is PCIe 3.0 x 4

R10 Manual

While some ports supports PCIe 4, the M2 slot does not and only supports up to PCI 3.0 x 4

I never knew that. I thought they were both the same version 4.0. Learn something new every day.

What's also interesting is page 74. Those VRM's are not supposed to be there...

Yeah, looks like they just superimposed the CPU fan photo on top of a stock mobo photo.
