Aurora R10, BIOS 2.2.4, boots up at night
I have recently updated to the latest
firmware
BIOS version 2.2.4 from 2.2.2 and I've been having issues with my computer booting up in the middle of the night, roughly around 12:30. I don't have any WAKE ON enabled, everything is disabled in the BIOS related to that, but my system still boots up on its own. I've triple checked any tasks in the task scheduler, and nothing is set to start up my computer.
I was able to downgrade the BIOS to version 2.2.2, and I checked the settings in the BIOS, everything is the same, but this time, my computer hasn't started in the middle of the night.
But now Windows 11 decided to update the BIOS, since it was available via Windows updates. Is there a way that I can stop Windows from reinstalling the latest BIOS version? I would like to go back to 2.2.2 because my computer wasn't starting on its own with that BIOS version.
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks!

I don't have win 11 yet on my R10 but I do have the 2.2.4 bios . so far no trouble
So depending on which mobo you have it could be a different situation.
The famous window firmware update...
IMO, many on this forum confuse the windows firmware driver update and the Alienware bios update.
The window one is listed as the firmware driver update. In my case it's the Pegatron Corp. ( asus) one
You can find it listed in the device manager section under firmware/system firmware.
On the drive it's located in the windows/firmware section.... firmware.bin and it's installed on the uefi
partition.
At this time on my R10 the installed bios version does not match my firmware driver but it works fine.
the new firmware driver is listed ( so far ) as an optional driver in win update.
You should check your driver version. You can find those firmware driver on the windows update catalog but going back could cause other problems.
Others ( including me) on this forum also had this problem, so you could find solutions.
