Aurora R10, memory upgrade, Ryzen 5900x, MB TYR0X

I am still running my R10 with the original memory sticks that came with my computers 32GB 3200Mhz provided by DELL.

I would like to upgrade (replace all sticks with new ones) to 64GB (2x32GB) and hesitant if I should go with the 3200Mhz or the 3400 Mhz.

Any recommendation?

What tests should I run to validated "compatibility"?

Depends on what memory timings you currently run, and what your infinity fabric speed is set at.

These boards are very picky on memory.

Several successful passes with memtest86 outside windows will show any compatibility or other issues with the sticks and your system.

Validated memory is NOT 1.35v

The slower and less reliable ram needs higher and higher voltages to work as much as 1.5V and its not stable.

Mixing speed, vendor, voltage, rank, is not supported by Dell or AMD or INTEL etc.

Heat is the enemy and this is a function of SPD voltage.

Its disingenuous to say that over voltage on CPU and ram doesn't hurt it and possibly damage the component.

To be clear from a Dell warranty and policy perspective, a user should not expect non-tested/non-validated retail 1.35V or Higher 1.5V memory sticks to work without issues.

Team Blue using 3200 memory has limits.

Intel Core i3/i5 processors, it is limited to 2666MHz. With Intel Core i7/i9 processors, it is limited to 2933MHz.

Team Red says it supports 3200 but past that is marketing IMHO.  XW21KG-MIE2
