Aurora R11, brand new, bluetooth issue
Hello everyone,
I have received my new R11 a couple of days ago, and the computer works perfectly well until this morning.
When I turn on the computer, Bluetooth is not working anymore. I couldn't find it in the taskbar, and the troubleshooting is not working. I cannot add or delete any devices.
Since I use Bluetooth for my MX Keys, my keyboard is not working too. Luckily, I have a USB unify connector so right now I use that to connect my MX Keys as a temporary solution.
But I still need my Bluetooth back! Can anyone help me or does dell staff watch this forum can actually provide some doable solutions?
My computer is i9-10900KF/16GB/1TBSSD/RTX3080/1000WPSU. But during my online search, I am pretty sure this is not some hardware issue. Because apparently, all brands of a computer with windows 10 have the same issue, missing Bluetooth.
I have tried to reboot the Bluetooth in the BIOS, which I couldn't find it I am not sure the reason.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the USB device in the device managers.
I have tried the service.msc and troubleshooting coming with the windows system as well.
None of them have solved my problem and the Bluetooth function is still unavailable. So, right now I am opening in any way that may help me to get my Bluetooth back. Thank you very much everyone~

Hey, not sure if you still have the Bluetooth issue but I ran into the same issue. I tried a couple of things and it's finally working for me.
* Turn the PC off
* Unplug the power cable from the tower
* Press and hold down the power button for 60 seconds. The idea is to drain all power from the PC
* Reconnect the power cable to the tower
* Turn the PC on
If your Bluetooth is still not working
* Check the Device Manager and uninstall any USB driver having a connection issue. They will be flagged with a yellow exclamation symbol
* Then go to the Dell Drivers website and search for the Qualcomm WiFi and Bluetooth driver. It will be under the "Network" category
* Download and install it
* Restart your computer when done
Hopefully, that should do the trick!

"Then go to the Dell Drivers website and search for the Qualcomm Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Driver. It will be under the "Network" category."
I'm not sure that's the best approach. The OP hasn't identified his Bluetooth provider. It could be Qualcomm or Intel, depending on which network option he selected at purchase. If it's the Killer AX1650/Intel option, I've found that the Intel Driver Support Assistant has more recent drivers than Dell Support Assist. I'm using driver version 22.10.0.2. The release notes show an issue that could be related to what the OP is seeing:

I did so many things... uninstalling the bluetooth drivers, resetting defaults in BIOS, turning off quick startup, and many other things I saw online. This is the one that did it.

This has happened to me twice in the last two days. The solution works, but we shouldn't have to go through this.
I noticed that I never had this problem until I started using the Alienware Mobile Connect app. I'm going to go ahead and uninstall that and see if the problem continues. If it disappears, I will know the Alienware Mobile Connect app (which was very unreliable and did not function as intended) was the problem.

So the solution was to drain flea power from the machine?
And the Blutooth worked after that?

I was on the phone with Dell support fir 3 days regarding this issue. They told me to reset my whole computer.
I did and nothing. Still had Bluetooth off. Scoured the internet, trying to type in the right phrase and ended up here. Tried it and voila. Works like a charm again. This is the second time this has happened to me.
I almost punched a wall.

Hello,
Thanks you, had the same issue.
My xbox one bluetooth controller was messing and disconnecting / reconnecting every 10 minutes, then sudently bluetooth stopped to work.
After unpluging powercable and drain power and putting back, it worked.

Life saver! Been fixing this for 3hours, did tried reinstalling driver from Device manager, disable enabling, download Bluetooth device from Dell, trouble shooting, add driver manually that come from factory, also changing my registry to start my Bluetooth service automatically. ALL not working, Bluetooth have no turn on option, missing from Action Center (thought driver is broken), and I found this simple step xD Helped me, I shut down and unplug power cord, did a power drain. Was thinking its not gonna work. FINALLY WOW, after restarted it all show up. xD OMG

Just a follow-up - ever since I removed the Alienware Mobile Connect app, the problem has completely disappeared. So I think that was the culprit in my case.

I am having this issue with my Studio XPS 7100. I once had bluetooth in Windows 10, but now it seems to be missing completely. It's still listed under "services" and running, but the switch to turn on and off is missing in my "settings" for bluetooth. I have tried every solution under the sun aside from buying an external usb adapter. Is there a driver to fix this ? There are not drivers listed for my pc on the dell support website. This is very frustrating since im trying to use wireless headphones with my pc.

This worked for me to - Dell Tech Support seems to be unaware of this problem I spent ~1.5 hours with them to be told its not a hardware problem, its a software problem. Given the fix seems to be to drain all power, not sure how that is a software problem - which doesn't seem to be covered under a new warranty as the ticket raised offered to look at the issue for $129 - see below (pc is 1.5 months old)
As your issue is software-related, the fastest way to get help is with our online Software Repair service. With it, you will be able to schedule a one-on-one support session with a Dell certified expert for $129 with a no-fix-no-fee guarantee.
