Update was successful using F12 boot BIOS Update option. I put the.exe file on a USB stick, F12 at boot-up, the Update BIOS option. It automatically picked the.exe file, double-clicking to select, then hit update. A few restarts and all is well. After rescanning in Alienware Update app, 1.0.23 is reported, and no longer showing as an available update. Thanks to everyone that tried to help!

I noticed that the update only appeared on SupportAssist for me a couple of weeks ago but fails then to go through.  I haven't tried doing a manual load yet - would be good to know what issues or solutions others have had.

Is still failing. Dell PMd me telling me to call paid phone support. Not gonna happen. They’ll fix it eventually I guess.

Oh, never mind. I see manual install isn't working for you either. No idea on that one, sorry.

Are you currently on 1.0.22 or 21?  They aren't cumulative so usually you can't skip more than one at a time.

Hiya - I'm on 1.0.22 and tried the manual install today - that didn't work either.  Guess I will wait too

Thanks all!

What happens when you tried it?

Hiya - running the exe puts a file called amifldrv64.sys in the same downloads folder and nothing then happens sadly...

That is very odd. I used that download link and it downloaded fine for me.

I am wondering if for some reason your default download settings are save as and it keeps saving it under that file name.

If you right click on amifldrv64.sys and select properties, what is the reported file size?

The original .exe has a file size of 7,775,352 bytes. If yours has the same size than it is the correct file, just the wrong name.

The exe is indeed that size but the sys file it creates is 17,896 bytes?

Yes, same results here. Currently on 1.0.22. Going to try running it from the F12 boot BIOS Update option today. Will let you know if successful.

I have tried doing this numerous times but I see no option to Update the Bios when using F12. Could you please tell me where it is at on the screen?  Thanks Much.

It's not on the first screen. You need to use your mouse to scroll down to additional boot options. The select bios flash, after diagnostics.
