Aurora R7, audio issue

Question

I need to know if there are any settings required to be able to hear sound when connecting Logitech Z906 5.1 Surround Sound speakers when using the optical cable option. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

In Control Panel / Sounds did you select the 'Realtek/Dell Digital Output' as the Default? That output should be the optical/SPDIF .

Yup that's the famous echo sound. If you right click then properties on the Realtek device see if there is the enhancements tab and make sure everything in unchecked. If it is then you'll find a lot of threads on Google.

I actually now have sounds but now sounds like I am in a tin can.
