Aurora R9, Corsair Vengeance memory upgrade freezes
I've replaced the fury memory sticks with 4x 6GB 2400MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX memory sticks. it boots fine (i also have OC turned off), and runs fine but my computer freezes every 10 hours. restarting the computer after the freeze does not work, and I must take out 16 GB of ram for it to start up again. Once the restart is complete, I can shutdown and reinstall the other 16GB of ram with no issue. Does anybody know what's going on?

I have disabled XMP and I am running 32GB of 2400MHz vs 16GB 2666MHz because I have to do rendering an it requires much more than 16GB RAM. I'm not sure what kind of ram the Aurora R9 can actually take, since it's not written anywhere, which baffles me to be honest.
Upon some searching on the Dell website for Aurora R9 upgrades, apparently the Aurora R9 only accepts 2666MHz and 2933MHz ram speeds. I wish I had known this sooner, but I am going to guess that this is the reason for the freezes.

You mean 8gb x 4 @ 2400? Honesty, that seems like a downgrade from the OEM sticks, I don't even think Dell offers 2400mhz RAM on the R9. It sounds like they aren't fully compatible. The Aurora is picky with the RAM. You can try disabling XMP, but other than that, there is not much else you can do. I'd try running the Dell epsa hardware test (f12 on startup) including the RAM test to check for errors or issues that come up with the sticks in this system.

mine has been doing the same with Vengeance 2 LPX 3200Mhz 8 gig sticks in my r9, idk what i did wrong but its annoying. my computer only has 8gigs of ram and when i tried to ugrade it just freezes and my monitors dont come on. when i remove ram the screen comes on saying memory has changed and then boots just fine. i thought it was originally the graphics card ( RTX 2080 super) but turns out it wasnt. so how would i go about upgrading the ram if 3200mhz is supported yet still causes same issue?
