X51 R?, AWCC wont install
I swapped the my HDD for 2x SSD and now I can not for the life of me to get AWCC to install. It says it's not compatibe with my device. I have uninstalled and cleared my %programdata%, %appdata%, and registry of all things AWCC and it still wont install. I checked the BIOS and it shows my service tag. Im not sure what i can try next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows 10 has lots of things removed.
You need to force a reinstall of DOTNET 2.0 3.5
Then install AWCC in compatibility mode. The one on the windows store is for Area-51 R5/R6 or higher.

WINDOWS 10 does not support AWCC compiled for windows 7
You need to install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 3.5 Service Pack 1 first, then re-run the Alienware Command Center installation.

So is there no way to control the lighting on this case in Windows 10? Thats one of the main reasons i bought this because it matched the rest of my setup but now it's stuck on the blue lights.
Also i can download the AWCC from the windows store but it doesnt recognize my computer as an alienware device so the FX tab is locked.

As @speedstep says. first you have to determine if you have a x51-R1, R2 or R3.
You can only run up to the final version of AW-CC for that exact machine.
However, I can tell you that even AW-CC v2.8.11.0 runs on Windows-10 64bit because I'm running it that way on my Aurora-R1 (currently on v1803).

2.8 installed perfectly. I had tried all the links i could find on the dell site before with no luck. But your link did the trick. Thankyou so much!

Dude or Dudet,
Thank you so much for this fix. I have been trying to get this fixed for 4 years now. Goes to show. Never give up, never surrender. If you are having issues with something. Keep on trying. Take a break from it to clear your mind.
