probably a stupid question but just wondering
if you upgrade with the same parts there all the same right?

Yes . . . here is only one Aurora R10 Ryzen, and any two units, configured with identical options, will be the same. Be careful, as there are many options available.

ok im probably just going to get the Alienware recommended stuff for now and upgrade when needed (or if i just want to)

The only caution I would emphasize is that AMD will be releasing zen 3 vermeer cpus (4950x or 5950x tbd) in three weeks on 9/2/20.
So around 9/2/20 you can expect the release of the successor to the R10 ryzen, at which point R10 will be discontinued and sale priced. I'd expect the R10 to be EOL with the 3000 series chips, and non-upgradeable to zen 3 vermeer.
