17 r3 laptop screen having contrast problems

I got an Alienware 17 r3 about two weeks ago, and while it's mostly worked fine, I've seen more and more instances of an issue I want to know if I can fix.  Basically, when I watch videos on it (Both streaming sites like YouTube and video files saved to the hard drive), there's a problem with the overall contrast levels.  Whenever I see a darker shot with some shadows, the shadows seem more overwhelming, with the brighter, colored elements much harder to make out than normal.

I tried updating both my nVidia card and the default Intel graphics card's drivers, but have seen no change.  Is there anything else I can try to fix this, or is this a common issue with the r3's screen that I can't change?

The only fix is color calibration.

I tried that, but couldn't find a contrast button on the keyboard.

My problem was that the screen bezel on my original and my replacement laptop was pressing tight against the screen causing blooming. Just separating the bezel by running my finger between and around  the screen and  bezel corrected problem
