Adapter issue on m17xr2
My adapter doesn't seem to be able to make a good connection with the jack. I used my old dell laptop adapter and it works just fine but it only puts out 90w and just sustains the battery instead of charging it. The only way i've been able to charge it is fiddle with te plug by pulling it up and down in when connected to get it to work which is probably not good for the jack so is it a problem with my system or is it just a problem with my ac adapter?

Also wondering if this problem can cause my freezing and blue screens.

I would start by contacting Support and the get the AC Adapter and cord replaced. Look on the AC Adapter for the 5 digit part number. Contact Technical Support Chat, Phone, or Email. They will need the following information -
Email Address:
Name:
Shipping Address:
Phone Number:
PC Service Tag number:
Operating system:
Reason: Possible defective AC Adapter and cord
Troubleshooting Done:
