AlienWare M17X Windows 8 Can't Shutdown

Hi all,

Installed Windows 8 Pro (X64) onto my AlienWare M17X and all went well. My Drivers CD worked great and it seems all the drivers (other than bluetooth) work. My big issue is after I installed the AlienWare Command Center, now it seems the machine cannot sleep, resume, restart, or shutdown via software. Any program that tries to reboot the machine turns off the monitor but the system never goes down. At present the only way to power the machine down, restore from sleep, or restart the machine is to hold down the power button for 5 seconds until the machine powers down.

Any ideas? Its going to be a real drag not being able to sleep the machine anymore....
