Alienware 13 R2 poor VMware performance (32GB RAM and SSD upgrade possible?)

Hi All,

Have a new Alienware 12 R2 with 16GB and the Hybrid drive.  When I have 3 VM's running, 4G 4G and 2G (mix of Win and Lin) performance is really bad.

I'd like to upgrade the machine to a real SSD and 32GB of RAM.  Is that possible - I see DDR3L 16GB modules at 1.35V which match the specs - will it work?  

Anything I can do to optimize VMware?  At the moment - it seems like an SSD upgrade would make the most difference but I'd be interested in knowing what others have tried.
