Alienware 13 R3 Lights not working -- HELP!

Specs (in case it matters)

GTX 1060 6gb VRAM

Intel i7-6700HQ

8gb DDR4 RAM

256gb SSD

1366x768 screen

So the lights on my 13 R3 aren't working at all (sort of). The lights were working until I booted up Hotline Miami with the "Alienware mode" (AKA custom lights on your laptop that correspond to the game). The custom lights booted up and started flashing from purple to blue as it did with the background of the game. Hotline Miami crashed, and the keyboard/trackpad/Alienware text lights (on the bezel) magically just stopped working, and wouldn't turn back on. However, the Alienware logos on the outside of the laptop and on the power button light up. When I tried to open up the command center to fix this and an error message pops up saying:

"The device you have selected is included in the current theme but AlienFX cannot detect this device on your system. Do you want to remove this device from the current theme?"

And this message kept popping up whenever I switched over to a different theme. If I clicked "YES" then it would erase the theme, making all the lights black in the software and removing the custom event sequences, and when I clicked "NO" on the other themes it would keep the theme as is but I wouldn't be able to apply it. I could click on the "Apply" button and it would show up as if you could click on it, but nothing would happen. Keep in mind that when I closed my laptop the lights would continuously stay lit, despite my settings. This depletes battery quickly and is irritating since I can't even change it to any other colors. If anyone could help me with this, I would be so grateful. Any ideas as to why this is happening? :(
