Alienware 15.6 R2 flickering screen

My recently bought Alienware 15.6 r2 went black then started to flicker,  it also left imprints when i closed the programs. Im from the philippines and wondering if dell would accept my warranty given that i bought this from canada.  I plugged this to an external display and was okay.  Does this imply a problem with the screen?  And hpw long will this take to complete?  Thanks for the reply guys.
