Alienware 15 R2 SB Recon3Di Control Panel & Windows Defender Issue(s)
Hello All,
My 15 R2 has two issues which I'll address one at a time and as concisely and briefly as possible as follows:
1. SB R3Di Control Panel fails to load on startup/login automatically: I've uninstalled/reinstalled several times, wiping all traces of the program each time and disabling any AV/Maleware programs too. The ONLY way I can get it to load is running it compatibility mode WinXP(SP3). This gives a prompt window upon startup to allow or not.
2. Windows Defender constantly showing either "AT RISK" with a YELLOW exclamation point OR RED, NOT ON/NOT ENABLED. I've looked through various MS forums and the MS techs are hopeless to be polite.
Any help, suggestions or a point in the right direction on these issues will be greatly appreciated!

1) Make sure Sound BLaster is "enabled" in Task Manager - Startup
I've noticed my SB takes close to a minute to fully load so be patient.
You can open control panel, troubleshooting, hardware and sound, and run the various audio checks.
2) If using WD exclusively have you updated it? If using another AV program WD should be turned off.
WD is limited and you might want to consider other AV programs.
