Alienware 17 freezes for no apparent reason
hi everyone,
I recently bought an Alienware 17 laptop (7 days ago). it came with windows 10 per-installed. right from the beginning it started freezing randomly for no apparent reason. I am not able to find any pattern to sometimes i game for hours without any problems, but sometimes it freezes with just few mins of listening to music, surfing the web or working on AutoCad. Sometimes the screen freezes with the mouse pointer still moving and music playing in the background and sometimes everything freezes. I the OS, graphic drivers and all the software are up to date.
It is really annoying when the brand new laptop for which costs an arm and a leg keeps malfunctioning. Please help.

Hi,
Try running an ePSA/Diagnostics test to check the main hardware components. Click here to view a Dell article that explains how to do this test, let us know if you receive any errors.

Welcome to the club. There seems to be a few people here with the same range of issues.
I wrote a post that may be helpful that details some of the things I worked through BUT I still get random freezes, usually about one per day or less now.
