Alienware Area 51-R2, CPU swap
I purchased an Alienware Area-51 R2 last year, and recently I have been wanting to replace my CPU with an Intel Core i7 6700k processor. The specs of my PC are as follows:
-Intel Core i7-5820k CPU @ 3.30 GHz
-Nvidia GTX 780 3GB graphics card
-EVGA Nvidia GTX 980 Ti Classified 6GB graphics card
-16 Gb RAM
-Windows 10 Home 64 bit
The motherboard is the default that came in the Area 51. Would anyone happen to know if it would be possible for me to replace my CPU with an Intel Core i7 6700k processor? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
That is not a one of the CPU validated upgrade options for the Alienware Area 51 R2. Therefore, we cannot confirm if it will function properly with this system. You could also try posting this on the Notebook Review and Alienware Arena forums for this assistance.

Sorry for the late response, but may I ask: what are the validated CPU upgrade options for the Area 51 R2? Is there a list anywhere that I could look at?
