Alienware Aurora R4 motherboard temperatures reach 65 degrees celsius

Is it normal for a motherboard to go up to 65 degrees celsius while playing game (counter strike global offensive).

When idle my ususal temperature is around 38-42 degrees celsius

Here are my specs-

Processor:
Intel® Core™ i7-4820K Processor (4-cores, 10MB Cache, Overclocked up to 4.2 GHz w/ Turbo Boost)
Graphics:
2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770
RAM
16384MB (4x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 Quad Channel
Hard drive:
1TB SATA 6Gb/s (7200RPM) 32MB Cache
Sound card:
Integrated HDA 7.1 Dolby Digital capability

Isn't it dangerous to play longer sessions on this high temperature ?

Thanks

Hi!

It's normal for the temperatures to rise while you're gaming because of the stress put on the hardware. If you experience any performance issues such as lagging or shutdowns, it could be a symptom of overheating.

Taking breaks is not necessary because the temperatures are OK. I would recommend you keep monitoring both the CPU and GPU temperatures in case they ever reach 90 C or higher.
