Alright guyz. I am looking at the Alienware Aurora. I have seen the default configuration includes a i5-2300, but, if I upgrade to i5-2500k they are charging me $150? I don't understand why so much? * Any thoughts I have about pricing would be pure speculation. Your best bet would be to ask the salesperson.
If you goto newegg or some other website, the price difference between the two processors is only $40-$50. * You cannot compare the specifications and pricing for retail CPUs versus our OEM (original equipment manufacturer) CPUs.
Are they also upgrading the motherboard? * No. It is the same motherboard.
