Alienware Aurora r4 wont start With New Graphics card.
Hey,
I have an alienware aurora from late 2012 i belive.
I currently have a AMD raedon r9 6800 series Graphics card., i7 3930k processor and 8gb of ram.
I recently bought a MSI gtx 970 gaming to replace my old Graphics card. I plug this card in and it even lights up when i turn on the computer but however my pc only gets to the the starting screen where i get the Choice of pressing F2 and F12 and then freezes and i cant do anything. I then hear 3 beeps from inside my pc and then it proceeds to a blackscreen where my only Choice is to turn it off manually.
I've tried to uppgrade my BIOS without much succes (dident get it to work), uninstalling all graphics drivers from AMD but nothing changed.
So i am clueless i am bit of a pc noob, and have no Clue what could cause this and would love some help to explain what is going on hopefully if someone knows of a fix.
Thx in advance :)

Did you connect all required PCIe power cables to 970? They are likely different config than AMD-6800. You should have 875w PS, but you might what to verify that.
Probably should have uninstalled AMD Driver Suite (Catalyst) before removing AMD card.
If MSI card has dual BIOS switch, you might want to try other position.
Try Windows Safe Mode.
What OS are you running? Are you running BIOS in UEFI or Legacy Mode?

I did connect all the PCI cables that was needed for te gtx 970 witch was 8/6 and my old amd needed only 6/6 but i had one unused on the amd.
I did uninstall everything amd on my computer before installing the new hardware.
I dont think my MSI card has dual bios switch, atleast it does not say so anywhere on the box or anywhere where i've looked, However i've only tried the first motherboard input where my AMD card used to stand, i could try the 2nd one, i dident do this before thinking it would not really change much but i could be really wrong here..
I would start windows in safemode if i could. But the only way i know of is through the Alienware start screen where you can press f2 etc. I get to this screen and it freezes and i cant do anything, id i manege to press for example f12 it jst stays lit and nothing changes then it proceeds as i explained earlier.
I am currently running windows 10 with BIOS at legacy mode.
