Alienware M15x: Is it possible to upgrade this model into configuration of SSD + HDD?

As asked in topic, I would like to ask you if there is a possibility to install and have SSD along with HDD? I wish to have SSD for OS + apps while HDD would serve for storage.

You can have two hard drives in your M15x if you like, but you will have to remove your DVD player.

You can purchase a additional hard drive bay on ebay, here is a link

Hi xerpatrex,

Alienware M15x system does support SSD drives. But this system has only one slot for internal hard drive. If you want to upgrade the system with an SSD, you would have to remove the existing hard drive and install an SSD in its place.

Do let me know if you have any further questions.

Well getting another drive by the cost of DVD player does not sound bad since my DVD player has always been faulty and never worked properly (actually almost never worked at all). So it would be just a matter of replacement with this suggested adapter?
