Alienware M18x R2, display problem when it is cold

Hi.

I have some problem with my display, please watch the photo.

I inderstand this happen when the LCD is cold, if I open the PC from off state, or just if the LCD come from a state of standby or if come of a state of oc full on but the lcd is in standby. After some minutes the lcd is open the white bar become little and more little until it disappear completly. Look is like is a provlen of temperature, Idont think is a problem of gpu at 80%. Is not a big problem fir now but I worred if this is the begin of a big pribken for the lcd... any help about????

Are you capable to connect an external monitor and check if you see the lines on both screens? That way we will be able to determine if the problem is with the LCD or with the Video card.

thanks for the reply.

I try, no problem for the external monitor, only for the internal LCD.

Any IDEA?

Then yes there is a problem with the LCD, if you are still under warranty and you within US or Canada you can send me a PM with your service and a brief description of the problem so I can help you out, otherwise you can contact the technical support site in your country so they can assist you.

Thanks for the help, but what i need to know is, if this become a big problem, or if do this only in the cold situation.

i understand when my room is not cold the LCD work fine.

Do you thing this can become a bug problem?

Is a lot of problem for me send the laptop to warranty...

I will recommend you to replace it as soon as you are able to since it can become a bigger problem.
