Alienware X51 Troubling Question

Hi: I am considering the purchase of the Alienware X51 Extreme direct from Dell, but I am hesitating based on whet seems like a lot of negative and quite nasty reviews of not only the quality control of the build, but also the customer service...I have had several Dell computers in the past 25 or so years and have been satisfied...But there is so much discussion on various forums, blogs, etc., about Alienware and how horrible things have become since Dell has gotten involved with the brand...Can anyone here provide "positive" feedback? I know that most people only contribute to forums, blogs and so on when they are unhappy or have a gripe, but I need some encouragement! Thanks a lot,
