Alienware aurora graphics card replacement

Hi,

I have an alienware aurora R4 from 2014

My graphics card is broken so want to buy a new one. Problem is I don't know much about what's best for my pc.

Considering of buying the MSI RADEON RX 480 GAMING X.

There is a 4G and a 8G one which I think has to do with my RAM-memory if I'm correct? I got 4x 2G RAM cards.

Anyone that can tell me if my pc can handle the 8G one and what's the difference between the 2? Would help me so much.

PC SPECS:

- 875W chassis

- 64 bit

- 8192MB (4x2GB) 1600MHz DDR3 Quad Channel

- AMD Radeon R9 270 2GB GDDR5

- Intel Core i7-4820K Proc (4-cores, 10MB Cache, Overclocked up to 4.2 GHz w/ Turbo Boost)

Hi,

The difference is the amount of vRAM which will allow faster rendering of several objects and other advantages on the 8G one. the PC should be able to handle both without hesitation.

Make sure you buy from someone reputable if you want a new card. I would recommend an upgrade if you have the money :) . But go with amazon, newegg, or buy direct from manufacturer.
