Alienware14 Battery Charge overnight?

Jump to solution

Hi,

1. Can I leave my alienware14 plug in and charging over night? As I like to download some files and it require overnight downloads.

2. Can I always leave the Alienware14 plug in and charged at all time? Even it's already charged to 100%?

Note: Alienware14's battery is not removable.

In advance, thank you, for your feedback.

Thanks

The answer you're looking for is, Yes. You can.
The new AW14, AW17, AW18 models came with this feature that allows the computer to run only on the AC Adapter whilst the computer has it's battery charged at 100%. It won't hurt your computer or your battery.
However, I insist you let your battery run out of charge at least once a month to make sure the battery life is not affected on the long run.

As a special side note: The Alienware 14's Battery IS removable, you just have to take off the back panel with a screwdriver to be able to reach it.
