BSOD Alienware m17x r4 Error code : 0x116

The description of the BSOD from whocrashed :

On Sun 8/02/2015 00:01:23 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: nvkflt.sys (0xFFFFF88003160010)
Bugcheck code: 0x116 (0xFFFFFA801AB94010, 0xFFFFF88003160010, 0xFFFFFFFFC000009A, 0x4)
Error: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\nvkflt.sys
product: NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 327.45
company: NVIDIA Corporation
description: NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 327.45
Bug check description: This indicates that an attempt to reset the display driver and recover from a timeout failed.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: nvkflt.sys (NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 327.45 , NVIDIA Corporation).
Google query: NVIDIA Corporation VIDEO_TDR_ERROR

What i have done for trying to resolve this issue :
-format and clean install of windows 7
-checked drivers of both intell and geforce (installed the dell ones, also the latest ones from the sites of intelle and geforce, also drivers that were recommended on forums for the same kind of issue)
-pre-boot diagnosys (no problem found)

-several diagnoses from dell or antivirus or other programs (no problems found)

-flash bios to newest version

-did a stresstest with furmark (geforce card reaches max 70degrees) (i must say i had BSODS of the same type while doing the stresstest)

So i'm a bit desperate now... i noticed that when i redo a driver install, i can game for a while (few days), than it starts crashing again.
My temporary solution is to deactivate the geforce card and game only with the Intell 4000 one.
the bsod only occurs while gaming, if i don't game, i can let the card activated and have never problems with it.

so i hope someone can help me here,i'm out of ideas.

Thanks in advance,
Sébastien

I've had this issue for months. I get no response to the issue. I am in the market for a new gaming rig and I was going to get my 3rd alienware laptop (I like the new graphics adapter) but considering this major issue has been on the whole ignored I am now looking into the Asus Rog lineup.

I just cant understand how dell/alienware would allow a faulty video card issue go unresolved like this. sold me a defective part and that happens no big deal but to just ignore the issue and not offer a recall or at least a discount to customers looking to upgrade out of this POS isn't excusable.

They did make me an offer. They wanted to extend my warranty so they could replace my Gpu for the same model for free.

Warranty extension cost MORE than an upgraded gtx780m. Ridiculous!

I've had this problem for a long time, and I've posted here time and again with no reply from anyone at Dell. Simply put it seems to be a dead subject aka they are ignoring it and the people with the problem quite literally.

Extremely disappointing.
