Can't change primary display adapter from Intel 4000 to GTX 680

How do I get my Alienware M17X R4 to use the Nvidia GeForce GTX 680M as the main video card?

I want to have 3 monitors, 2 externals plus the laptop screen.  One of my monitors is 2560X1440 resolution.

When I go into the Nvidia control panel, and to the 'Set up multiple displays' area, under select the drives you want to use it shows the Intel HD 4000 graphics.

In device manager it shows both the Intel 4000 and the GTX 680 I want to use.  If I disable the Intel 4000 the GTX 680 is not recognized and it just runs on the Windows basic drivers.  If I try uninstalling the Intel 4000, same thing until I reboot and it comes back.

I don't see any way to change my primary video adapter in Bios Settings or anywhere else.  How can I turn off this Hybrid mode, or Bridging mode or whatever it is so I can get what I bought this GTX 680 card for?

Your help will be so extremely appreciated!!!!!
