Cmos Error
Hi all, wondering if you can give me some advice.
I have had a Alienware 17 R3 for just over 3 months now. I have the mobo and battery replaced only 3 days ago as the machine wouldnt boot.
I now get a bad checksum cmos error every morning on start where it has lost my cmos settings.
Can anyone advise what i can do about this as im really annoyed and unhappy with the product

Press F12 at the Dell splash screen on start up and choose Diagnostics.

Download and install the latest Support Assist Version from Dell and Run the specific Device Test for the Mainboard and post results.

Test tommorow again to see if you get the same error during startup. If yes the new cmos battery may be expired/damaged and needs to be replaced again.
