Flickering lines on new Alienware 17 R4
Hi everyone,
Today was delivered my new alienware 17 R4 with GF1070. Everything is great so far but I can see lines randomly flickering on screen. They are small and colors are usually white. Also during windows update they was black on green screen.
Not sure what it can be. Just updated NVIDIA drivers from nvidia website. Did not help.

Check if the lines are coming from the LCD by plugging an external monitor to the machine. If they do not appear there, the issue may be the LCD cable or LCD itself.

When I switched to "performance mode" (did not know you need to do this) Lines disappeared. I assume lines related to internal GPU drivers but not exactly when system use it directly. So in benchmarks where it seems GF take the lead role I still was able to see the lines. And in performance mode Skyrim Spec Edition for some reason cannot see GF and use integrated GPU.

This is an old video but it does have the info you may need. Make sure you have the games set-up like this in the nVidia control panel.
