Hi and thank you!
By validated GPUs, do you mean these are the only GPUs that would work with it or the only ones that are officially supported? Are there any 2015/2016 era-GPUs that would work or would they not have the sufficient power connectors, etc?

Correct, officially supported. Unknown about 2015/2016 era-GPUs because we never tested any on this 2012 model.
