How to ensure SSD defrag is turned off?
I have a new Aurora R4 with a SSD as the primary drive. I am using Norton Security Suite and of course have the PC checkup that came from Dell and Alien Autopsy.
How can I be sure that defragging the SSD is disabled. When I looked at Windows 7 defrag options to check it says defrag is controlled by another program, but does not say which one and offers me to clear settings.
In Norton I have disk optimization turned off,[so called idle time optimizer which claims to optimize the boot volume only but I see that already it checked my secondary hard drive and found optimization unnecessary] as I did not see any options about which drive could be set to defrag or not. I am not sure if the Alien autopsy controls defrag or not.
Any help would be appreciated.

1.) click on the start button
2.) click on control panel
3.) click on administrative tools
4.) double click on task scheduler
5.) in task scheduler on the left hand column expand task scheduler library
6.) expand microsoft
7.) expand windows
8.) click and highlight defrag
9.) you will see the "ScheduledDefrag" task item
10,) right click on that task and disable or delete the item
11.) done

No prob. Task Scheduler is a very powerful automation tool in Windows. You can automate scripts, executables, etc.
