I Hope i get what i pay for,
Can any person tell me why i cant order a Alienware M17x from DELL without days of waiting for verification. Here is the whole story for those who are interested:
On June 6, I ordered an Alienware M17x. After checking my bank account, billing and shipping information, i confidently submit my order. Later that day, i went online to check my order status, and surprisingly it was canceled. After half an hour checking to see if the problem was mine, i concluded that i could not find any problem with my order; so i did what most people would have done, i called DELL support service. Fifteen minute later, I received "help" but not the understandings of my problem. The only information that i collected from that call with a DELL's phone operator was that i have to called back at a "more convenience time" tomorrow.
On June 7, around 1:30 that day, i called again. This time, at least the time is "more convenience" to the operator. The operator, then, claimed that i have to wait, the "person" that can help me is in a meeting right now. "What is the best time to reach you, sir?" he asked " anytime from now to 7 o clock of today" i politely answered . I couldn't help but thinking to myself that, why is DELL, a huge company is run by one single person. and why can't one of the operator i spoke to, can help me with my problem. More to the point, shouldn't i be informed of my order cancelling, shouldn't i be informed of the problem with my order? Irritating and confusing, i wait the whole afternoon for another phone call. It was 5 hours after my previous call that it finally hit me, it's one person. He might be busy, or forgotten, i have to call again, i just have to. Another Operator picked up the phone, to sum it short, he claim that, THE "person" will call me in 15-20 mins. This time i am "honored" to going to be called by such an important "person", so i waited.
2 hours later, still no call. What to do again, what to do?, I called the same phone number again. Again, the "person" is in, hopefully another meeting. Or that he never got out of the first one. i would feel bad for him if that was the case.
In conclusion, i hope that, Alienware is as good as my little brother described, I hate to be the one who tell him that, i couldn't, buy him a stupid laptop.
