I cannot download drivers!

I've been using my M17x R2 lightly for about a week or two.  It's been a little whacky and so I thought I'd see if there were any updates I could download.  There are.  However, I'm having a problem getting passed this stupid "Dell Driver Download Manager."

I can't download through my browser because the first thing I try to download becomes the download manager, and everything else just becomes a duplicate.  If I try to use it the download manager, it says I need to download drivers.  And when I download drivers they all just end up being the download manager.

Am I missing something?

WOWOWOWIE!

Thank goodness for forums.  And aberrated computers to access them with.

So far, so good... IE is working.

Thanks for the help - but I'm not out of the woods yet.  I will report back....

I had exactly the same problem but a Dell tech showed me how to bypass the DLM. It appears that this only happens with Firefox so you need to use Internet Explorer. Another solution is to install IE Tab 2, a Firefox plugin, and then add Dell's site to the list of sites that should be opened in IE Tab.
