Just ordered a M11x
i had problems with my M15X. hopefully this M11x runs great...

Nice! I ordered a Area-51 on the 10th I'm hoping all these problem threads that pop up on here are small in comparison to how many they sell. I'd really hate to have problems with a brand new system :o

awesome. i hope you enjoy your system. i just had a m15x. it had too many problems so i returned it.. i just hope this m11x is awesome...
i just had to cancel this order that I ordered yesterday because of a credit card issue. =( but i just ordered it again today on a different card.. but the wierd thing is the previous order ETA was April 12.. my new order is April 06... so its wierd that my new order will be here faster.. =)

Probably means it'll be shipping out late next week!

I ordered my M11x on the 18 of March and I just got an email yesterday ( March 26 ) saying it was shipped.. the email said it should be here the 29... cant wait =)
The shipment date was April 6.. so it came here a lot faster then they said. =)

Sorry you had issues with the M15X - I ordered mine on the 19th of March and it is still in the build stage so I don't expect it before the delivery date of the 9 th of April.

Hope you enjoy the machine.I got mine a week ago and this is what I have learned.
F2 to setup to enable overclocking to 1.73. Some have had trouble but not this one.
Do not use the Alenware System Restore Disc you are prompted to create. It will restore the Windows only, no AW software or drivers. Use the Dell Backup Local installation for a great system restore.
Update all the drivers on the driver download page. The drivers installed on arrival were over a year old and the drivers on the download page are only a few months old. The video update was especially noticeable. I have the same vid card you ordered and it looks great so far.
I have had trouble with my bluetooth. It drops out and shows as a Phantom device in Device Manager once in awhile. On reboot it works fine again, for awhile. I am going to make sure it is on the bus correctly one of these days.Updated the driver and no change. noticed a few "USB device will operate faster on a 2.0 bus...." messages concurrent with the problem manifesting, so I hope it is just a installation problem.
Other than that I like to AW software, the machine is lightning it looks just like a new Camaro at night. I work nights and really appreciate the lighted keyboard.

This Alienware System Restore disc your prompted to create.. is this asked the first time you turn the machine on?? also, the Dell backup local installation. this is something already installed on the machine???
