M14x R2 Blue screen and no audio detected randomly .

Hello, My recently bought M14x  has been giving me blue screen errors and "no audio output device is installed" errors.

Dell changed the solid hard drive and I have the same problem. I would like to return this machine, because since I have had it it is not working properly.

It cost me $1907.00. I paid for quality and this is not it.

Regards.

Curtis.

Hi Curtis,

Try to update the BIOS to the latest version, here's the download:

Alienware M14x R2 BIOS A11

And make sure the audio driver is installed: type on the start menu search box "device manager" and press , and find the "sound, video and game controllers", click on the little arrow on the left side to expand the drivers and check if the "creative labs audio driver" is installed.

I have the upgraded Sound Blaster Recon3Di, its installed.
