M18x R2 w/Nvidia gtx675m crashing

My m18x R2 running Win 7 has had various critical crashes since purchasing it may 2012.  Recently the crashes have become more frequent and severe while gaming and high video use.  Since July 18, 2013 it has crashed 83 times with the following report showing in AlienAutopsy Blue Screen Troubleshooter;

Cause- The "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M" driver (C:\Windows\system32\drivers\nvddmkm.sys) appears to have caused a system crash.

Bug Check Code - 0x00000116

Bug Check Parameters - 0xFFFFFA800FAF94E0, 0xFFFFF88004BA5700, 0xFFFFFFFFC000009A, 0x0000000000000004

I've noticed several threads regarding the 675m's and having them replaced.  could this be the same problem and am I looking at potentially having to have the cards replaced?

thx

Perhaps a graphical representation will help me get some assistance in resolving this annoying issue.

Hi Brett,

Getting that bluescreen code normally means that you have a faulty video card driver or the card itself is going bad. What games are causing your computer to crash?

Checkout this article to perform a clean installation of the video card driver; you can use Nvidia's latest driver.

After this, run the gaming test on the Alienautopsy application and let me know if it crashes.

Would you recommend I stick to the 320.49 WQHL release or try the 326.80 Beta that was released today?

Hello Alexander_J

As far as causes for the crashing gaming wise I currently play Sims 3, Take On Mars, LOTRO, SWTOR, World of Tanks, STO, X3: Albion Prelude... just to name a few lol.  Currently its crashing during all of them.  I have even used HWiNFO64 to manually up the speeds of the GPU fans testing if it could be a heat issue.  Same results.  Going to complete the clean install per the article, but I recently did revert back to the current listed driver via the dell support site (307.17).  Same crashes.  I'll clean it and use the current ones via Nvidia and run the test.

Also attempted to watch a movie via hdmi connected to my home theater.  Crashed to reboot 1/4 way into movie.

I ran the video test via AAutopsy this morning and it crashed to a reboot during it.  Then ran the Diag via F12 and I ran complete showing no errors.

Will post further soon.

Thank you

Hi Brett,

You could try 320.49 WQHL and 326.41 Beta; not sure about the new one.

I sincerely feel that there's something going on with your video cards. Can you send me your service tag through a private message?

Now with the forums back up I can update.  Have clean installed drivers.  tried 320.49, crashes.  clean installed 326.41Beta, crashes as well.  If I try without SLI enabled it lasts a little longer in game but inevitably crashes games and movies.

I also experience multiple crashes/reboots if i'm running my BOINC screen saver with world community grid and seti running.
