New alienware m15x synaptics driver

So long story short...on the phone with support few days after I received my new m15x about 1.5 months back.  Told the rep that when using the touchpad there is a 1 second lag/delay when using the virtual tapping to click on the various things.  Agent checked the computer they have on site and said their's was doing the same thing and that he would send a report so that they can come up with a new driver....installed new driver today....still experiencing lag.

Was just wondering if Chris could send another report in the direction of someone who can notify the author's of the latest driver that the problem still has not been rectified.  Thank you so much!

The touchpad is the same for the 15x, 17x, 17xR2. They are working this.

So now for try number 4 of getting this post in without it being deleted by the mods....not even sure why the third one was deleted...but I'm not giving up at this point its a matter of principal.

I am not sure what direction they are going.

K...this is the fourth time I've had to post this (when I'm actually saying something pleasant....for mentioning how Chris busts his TAIL in another, very SLIGHTLY suggestive way (what was I thinking)...apologies Dell mod. Seriously, if you're going to delete this again lord moderator...please just delete the offensive part instead because at this point I don't even know why it's being deleted.  There are no asterisks and no foul or suggestive language.  It's now just becoming a forum spitting match which is ridiculous.

...so once again, without further ado, I present to you my 4th revised post--a post so provocative, so cutting-edge, so scandalous, admin has deemed it too hot for online message boards....well actually its really a post which just so happens to compliment dell, AW and their customer service reps (at times) but has nonetheless been flagrantly banned numerous times.

So here it is: Sorry to keep asking probably stupid questions...but when you say they are the same does that mean that all of those listed models are having the same issue? Are they aware of the issue? because the VERY helpful AW tech who spent like 3 hours trying to help me said he wasn't even aware of the problem and he was, surprisingly, very knowledgeable...and I actually did believe him when he said he would pass it up the chain ...and mind you this is my second m15x...owned the first...so that should give you some idea of how many times I've had to experience the AW tech support....but this was a pleasant change.... I mean the new driver says it fixes stability issues? Huh? I didn't notice ANY change at all to this new driver...but I would be really interested to know if all of those models are having the same problem.... Last dumb question....didn't really get what you meant when you said you don't know what "direction" they are going in....does that mean you don't know if they are going to bother or perhaps they are just unable to fix it due to being stumped as to what is causing the problem in the first place? I know you hear this a lot chris from a lot of people in this forum...but THANK YOU.....you seriously bust your tail for everyone on here and it definitely doesn't go unnoticed...you are single-handedly shining a positive light on the dell/AW customer care/tech support system in an otherwise very dark and non-functioning void that has unfortunately been dell/AW customer service at times in the past (obv. just my own personal experience)....seriously, thank you so much! I know I speak for many others through the aforementioned sentiments.

First, we are not removing the post. Our A/I is. It could be that the A/I needs to be tweaked.

* If a thread or post was deleted, it was not because of the subject. It was deleted due to one of these violations -
- Profanity
- The use of character substitution to circumvent the profanity filter
- Legalistic, social, religious, or political beliefs
- A post that violates any person’s privacy (including the names and contact information for Dell employees and Site users)
- Is harassing, defamatory, abusive, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable (in our sole judgment)
- Contains false or deceptive language, unsubstantiated or comparative claims regarding our or others products, third party advertising, spam, chain letters, or any other solicitation

You should have received emails describing the violation?

I meant, I am not sure if they are tweaking the Bios or the Touchpad driver, or both. The M15x, M17x, and M17x R2 all have the same touchpad and drivers. So they all have the issue. Most customers are not aware of the issue because they plug in a USB mouse.

Hey Chris

Thanks for getting back to me.  I did receive emails describing why it was deleted but after I took any asterisks filled words it was still deleting the post.  If you would like to know what I was typing to try to edit with intentions of tweaking AI please PM me and I will be happy to describe what other variations of the post I attempted.

As far as the subject of the post, thanks so much for letting me know what you meant....if you hear anything and remember, could you let me know when you find out?  I use the TP a LOT so it's def an important subject for me.
