No sound from HDMI input
I have a M17, built in May 2014. When I use the HDMI input, I have video but no sound. I looked at the troubleshooting page from this forum about the same issue, but that is for a M17-r4 with Creative Sound Blaster, which is not on my machine and I don't have a compatible device for the creative drivers to work with. My audio driver is Realtek HD Audio, and I can't find any options similar to those described in the troubleshooting guide.
Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What device do you have connected to the HDMI input?

It happens with both an Xbox360 and a Sony Bluray player

Try upgrading to the latest audio driver from the Dell Support website. Then try disabling all playback devices except the input- HDMI from the Sound menu on the task-bar.
