Not a very happy and satisfied customer.
So I was all excited to pickup my very first alienware machine my brand spanking new m14x r2 but when I got home and open it up I was missing the windows 8 disc and to make mattes worse I was not provided with the product key either so now when I have installed an 256 gig msata ssd for my os I have now way of installing my os unless I go out and spend money and buy another copy or go the pirate way and download one and install and not enjoy the cracked windows... as far as I was told and from the looks of most of the unboxing videos I was suppose to receive a copy of windows... its fine if you don't want to give me the disc but at least provide me with the product key of the windows that automatically install's itself so in in the near future if I have to format the laptop for some reason I don't have to go out and buy a new copy...

Hi harshipoo,
I regret for the inconvenience. There is no separate product key in Windows 8 for reinstallation; it is injected on the motherboard itself. I agree that the system is not shipped with Windows 8 reinstallation disk. However, it gives the option of creating recovery media using ‘Dell Backup and Recovery’ during the initial setup.
As you have already installed mSATA SSD on the system, you may provide me the Service Tag and the name as it appears on the account via private message (click my username and then click Start Conversation) so I may access your records and check for further course of action.
Keep me posted with the information. I will be glad to assist you.
